Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yixin Powder is a traditional Chinese herbal formula developed based on the "weak pulse at yang and wiry pulse at yin" theory of National TCM Master Lu Fang. It is specifically designed to treat stable angina pectoris secondary to coronary heart disease, particularly in patients presenting with the "qi deficiency and blood stasis" pattern. The formula consists of seven primary ingredients: red ginseng, pseudo-ginseng powder (Panax notoginseng), dragon's blood, leech (Hirudo), succinite (amber), Chinese hawthorn fruit, and myrrh. It is typically used as an adjunctive therapy alongside standard Western medications such as beta-blockers, antiplatelet agents, and statins to improve clinical outcomes and address the underlying TCM-defined pathology.
