Yixin Wan is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pill developed and manufactured by Jiangxi Wannianqing Pharmaceutical. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of coronary heart disease and angina pectoris. The formulation typically contains a complex mixture of ingredients, including Ginseng, Artificial Musk, Bear Gall powder, Toad Venom (Chansu), Pearl, and Borneol. Its pharmacological actions are characterized by cardiotonic effects, increasing coronary blood flow, and improving myocardial oxygen supply. Specifically, the bufadienolides found in Toad Venom act as inhibitors of the sodium/potassium-transporting ATPase, thereby increasing myocardial contractility.
