Overview

Yiye Kangliugan is a traditional Uygur pharmaceutical preparation developed by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Institute of Drug Research for the treatment of influenza and upper respiratory tract infections. The drug is primarily formulated as granules and is derived from the leaves of *Acer laevigatum* (Smooth Maple), a plant recognized in traditional Xinjiang medicine for its heat-clearing, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties. Pharmacological studies indicate that the extract possesses broad-spectrum antiviral activity, particularly against influenza A and B viruses, by inhibiting viral replication and modulating the host's inflammatory response. It is clinically used to alleviate symptoms such as high fever, headache, cough, and sore throat associated with viral infections.
