Yiyi Baitouweng Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula used primarily for the treatment of intestinal-related diseases, especially ulcerative colitis (UC). The prescription typically includes Baitouweng (Pulsatilla chinensis), Huangbai (Phellodendron chinense), Huanglian (Coptis chinensis), Qinpi (Fraxinus chinensis), Yiyiren (Coicis Semen/Job’s tears seed), Diyu, Wubeizi, Baijiangcao, and Cheqianzi. The formula is believed to work by invigorating the spleen to eliminate dampness, clearing heat and toxins, promoting discharge of pus, and repairing the intestinal mucosal barrier.
