Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yizhi Annao Granule (益智安脑颗粒) is a Class 1.1 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) innovative drug developed by Beijing Jingshi Naoli Technology for the treatment and prevention of cognitive disorders, including vascular cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, and Alzheimer's disease (senile dementia). Formulated based on TCM disease-collaterals theory, the drug is designed to improve cognitive function and protect brain health. The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has sponsored clinical trials evaluating Yizhi Annao Granule in patients with vascular cognitive impairment after stroke, comparing its efficacy and safety to donepezil and utilizing brain imaging biomarkers such as resting-state fMRI and diffusion tensor imaging. In 2024, Beijing Jingshi Naoli Technology received clinical trial implied permission (IND approval) in China for Yizhi Annao Granule for the treatment of vascular dementia.
