Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yizhong Shengxue Jiaonang (益中生血胶囊) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound drug formulated as a capsule. It is composed of several herbal ingredients including Dangshen, Shanyao, stir-fried Yiyiren, Chenpi, Fabanxia, Caodoukou, Dazao, Lüfan, and Gancao. The drug is primarily used to invigorate the spleen and stomach, replenish qi, and promote blood production. It is indicated for symptoms such as pale complexion, dizziness, poor appetite, palpitations, shortness of breath, abdominal distension after meals, fatigue, insomnia, and memory loss, which are attributed to spleen and stomach weakness and deficiency of both qi and blood. Additionally, it is used to treat iron-deficiency anemia presenting with these aforementioned symptoms. The mechanism involves enhancing gastrointestinal function and stimulating erythropoiesis, partly through iron supplementation from ingredients like Lüfan.
