Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YJ001 is an investigational drug developed as a topical spray for the treatment of diabetic neuropathic pain (DNP), also referred to as diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain (DPNP). It is designed to be applied locally to the skin, particularly on both feet, with the aim of reducing systemic exposure and minimizing adverse reactions. Clinical studies have shown that YJ001 significantly reduces pain and improves sleep quality in patients with DNP compared to placebo, while demonstrating a favorable safety profile and low systemic absorption. The precise mechanism of action remains unknown. The drug has reached Phase 2 clinical trials in China for DNP.
