Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YJH-012 is a GalNAc-conjugated small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic designed to target hepatic xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH, also known as xanthine oxidoreductase or XOR) for the treatment of gout and hyperuricemia. Developed jointly by Livzon Pharmaceutical Group and Youjia (Hangzhou) Bio-medical Technology, YJH-012 utilizes RNA interference (RNAi) to silence XDH expression at the genetic level, thereby inhibiting the synthesis of uric acid in the liver. This liver-targeted approach is designed to provide a long-acting therapeutic effect (potentially 3 to 6 months per single subcutaneous injection) with a favorable safety profile compared to traditional small-molecule xanthine oxidase inhibitors. A Phase I clinical trial (CTR20252501) was initiated in China in 2025 but was subsequently terminated in 2026.
