Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YJP-14 is a small molecule drug that consists of an ethanolic extract derived from the stems of Lindera obtusiloba, a plant used in traditional Korean medicine. It has been investigated primarily for its effects on endothelial dysfunction and metabolic parameters, particularly in the context of diabetes mellitus and related cardiovascular diseases. Preclinical studies have shown that YJP-14 improves endothelial function, metabolic parameters, and physical performance in diabetic animal models. The mechanism is believed to involve improvement of vascular health and modulation of metabolic pathways associated with diabetes complications[3]. Clinical trials have evaluated its safety and efficacy for treating endothelial dysfunction in patients with diabetes mellitus[1][2][4].
