YK-hBCMA BB-002 is an autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy featuring a fully human single-chain variable fragment (scFv) directed against the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). Developed by Suzhou Yake Biotechnology, this therapeutic candidate is designed to treat relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). BCMA is a cell surface receptor member of the TNF receptor superfamily that is nearly universally expressed on mature B lymphocytes and plasma cells, with particularly high expression levels on malignant plasma cells. By redirecting a patient's T cells to recognize and eliminate BCMA-expressing cells, YK-hBCMA BB-002 aims to achieve deep and durable clinical responses in patients who have exhausted standard-of-care options.
