Overview

**YKL-IL12 + B7** is a combination biologic consisting of YKL-IL12, a modified interleukin-12 (IL-12) agent, and B7, a co-stimulatory molecule (likely CD80/CD86 family). YKL-IL12 is designed to enhance antitumor immune responses and is fused or co-expressed with B7 to further potentiate T-cell activation and cytokine production. Preclinical studies show that this combination increases both IL-12 and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) levels in tumor tissues, resulting in enhanced antitumor efficacy and improved survival compared to YKL-IL12 alone. This drug is rooted in immunotherapy and leverages T cell co-stimulatory pathway activation for heightened immune response against tumors[3]. Primary indications are cancer immunotherapy, and studies focus on improving local cytokine expression and immune activation while minimizing systemic toxicity[1][3].
