This reduction is intended to alleviate the immune suppression caused by high viral protein loads, potentially restoring the host's immune response and facilitating a functional cure. The drug is typically administered via subcutaneous injection and utilizes a liver-targeted delivery system, likely based on N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) conjugation.
