YKYY031 is an investigational small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Beijing Yuekang Kechuang Pharmaceutical Technology and Hangzhou Tianlong Pharmaceutical. It is designed to target and silence the expression of the Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor (IGF-1R) by inducing the degradation of its messenger RNA (mRNA). IGF-1R is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor that plays a critical role in cell signaling pathways governing growth, proliferation, and anti-apoptosis; its overexpression is linked to the progression of various cancers, including colorectal and pancreatic malignancies. By reducing IGF-1R protein levels, YKYY031 aims to inhibit tumor cell proliferation and enhance sensitivity to other treatments. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in patients with advanced solid tumors.
