Overview

YMN-V138 is an investigational cancer vaccine targeting CRIPTO-1 (also known as Teratocarcinoma-derived growth factor 1, TDGF1), a cell surface protein and member of the EGF-CFC family. CRIPTO-1 is frequently overexpressed in various human epithelial cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), where it acts as a co-receptor for TGF-beta ligands and promotes tumor progression, metastasis, and resistance to therapy. Developed by the West China Hospital of Sichuan University, YMN-V138 is intended to induce a targeted immune response against CRIPTO-1-expressing malignant cells. The vaccine is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (ChiCTR2600116270) to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary antitumor activity in patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have failed standard second-line or later therapies.
