Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YN002 is a targeted nanoparticle drug candidate developed by Beijing Inno Medicine Co., Ltd. utilizing its proprietary V-Smarter targeted delivery platform. The drug is designed to selectively bind to Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (VCAM-1), which is overexpressed on the surface of inflamed vascular endothelial cells in high-risk (vulnerable) atherosclerotic plaques and within the microvasculature of certain tumors like gliomas. By targeting VCAM-1, YN002 enables the concentrated delivery of its payload—which may include imaging agents for the identification of rupture-prone plaques or therapeutic agents for the treatment of glioma. The V-Smarter platform is described as a "biological missile" system that enhances the precision of drug delivery to diseased tissues while minimizing systemic exposure.
