YntraDose is an implantable radiotherapy platform developed by BetaGlue Therapeutics for the targeted treatment of unresectable solid tumors, with a primary focus on locally-advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC). The product is a drug-device combination consisting of beta-emitting yttrium-90 (Y-90) resin microspheres embedded within a polymerizing biocompatible glue matrix. Designed for percutaneous intratumoral administration under laparoscopic or radiological guidance, the glue matrix ensures that the radioactive payload remains confined to the site of administration, providing localized high-dose radiation while minimizing systemic exposure or leakage to adjacent organs. Preclinical studies in porcine models have demonstrated that YntraDose is safe and feasible, showing evidence of tumor necrosis and debulking, which may potentially down-stage inoperable tumors to enable surgical resection.
