This combination therapy is an experimental regimen developed by The Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University for the treatment of *Helicobacter pylori* infection. It integrates a novel adjuvant, egg yolk antibody (IgY), with a modified bismuth quadruple therapy (BQT) consisting of the proton pump inhibitor ilaprazole, a bismuth agent, and a potent cocktail of antibiotics including amoxicillin, clarithromycin, furazolidone, and doxycycline. The egg yolk antibody (anti-*H. pylori* IgY) functions by inhibiting the adhesion and colonization of the bacteria within the gastric mucosa, thereby acting as an immunological barrier. The antibiotics and bismuth provide direct bactericidal action through multiple pathways, such as inhibiting cell wall synthesis and protein synthesis, while ilaprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion to enhance the stability and efficacy of the antimicrobial agents. This multi-component approach is specifically investigated for patients who have failed previous eradication attempts or to overcome rising antibiotic resistance in *H. pylori* populations.
