Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yonatrevon is a multi-ingredient oral supplement developed by Pescado Pharmaceuticals, an Egyptian company. It is formulated as a capsule containing 300 mg of alpha-lipoic acid in combination with vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B12 (cobalamin), and folic acid. The product is indicated for nervous system support and the management of peripheral neuropathy. Alpha-lipoic acid serves as a potent antioxidant that scavenges reactive oxygen species to mitigate oxidative damage in nerve cells. The B-vitamins and folic acid act as essential cofactors in metabolic pathways critical for nerve repair, myelin synthesis, and neurotransmitter production. It is currently approved and marketed for these indications.
