Overview
Youxinding capsules is a novel Chinese herbal medicine (Class 1.1) developed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University for the treatment of depressive disorder. As a compound botanical preparation, it is designed to provide antidepressant efficacy by modulating monoamine neurotransmitter levels in the brain. The drug is currently being evaluated in multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase III clinical trials in China to establish its safety and efficacy in adults with depressive disorder. It aims to offer a therapeutic alternative with a potentially favorable side-effect profile compared to traditional synthetic antidepressants.
