YP-P10

YP-P10 is a novel, patented synthetic peptide with anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties developed by Yuyu Pharma for the treatment of dry eye disease (DED). Its mechanism of action involves modulation of adaptive immune responses, specifically by reducing T helper 2 cell and T helper 17 cell populations. Preclinical studies have shown that YP-P10 decreases inflammatory cytokines and chemokines in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and human corneal epithelial cells. In animal models, it demonstrated efficacy in reducing corneal damage associated with dry eye disease, performing comparably or better than existing treatments such as lifitegrast and cyclosporine. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for DED[1][3][5][6][8].
