Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YP004 is a multi-target recombinant fusion protein designed as a pan-pathway inhibitor of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family. Developed by Yuanpu Biotechnology, the therapeutic candidate features distinct domains that specifically recognize and neutralize multiple members of the VEGF family, including vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) and vascular endothelial growth factor C (VEGF-C). By providing comprehensive, durable, and effective inhibition of ocular vascular proliferation and leakage compared to traditional anti-VEGF therapies, YP004 aims to address unmet clinical needs in retinal vascular disorders. It is currently in Phase I clinical development in China for the treatment of neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).
