Overview

YP7 is a conventional IgG antibody designed to target Glypican-3 (GPC3), a protein highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells but not in normal adult tissues. It binds to GPC3-positive cells and is subsequently internalized. YP7 has been investigated as a drug carrier, particularly in photoimmunotherapy (PIT) where it was conjugated with IR700. Studies have compared its therapeutic effects and intratumoral distribution with a heavy-chain antibody, HN3, for HCC therapy.
