YPN-005 is a small molecule inhibitor targeting **cyclin-dependent kinase 7 (CDK7)**, developed for its antitumor and antileukemic activities[1][2][3][6][8][9]. It shows high selectivity for CDK7, with minimal inhibition of CDK2 and CDK5, and demonstrates potent in vitro and in vivo antiproliferative effects in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) models[1][2][3][9]. YPN-005 induces apoptosis and suppresses phosphorylation of RNA polymerase II as well as key oncogenic pathways including c-MYC and FLT3, making it effective against AML, especially in cells harboring FLT3-ITD mutations[2][3][7][8]. In cancer models, it also downregulates immune checkpoints such as PD-L1 and CD47[5]. The drug is administered orally in preclinical models and is being investigated for additional solid tumors[5][8].
