Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YQ1 is an oncology drug consisting of a micellar nanoparticle formulation of docetaxel. Developed by OP NanoPharma, a joint venture between Orient EuroPharma and NanoCarrier, it utilizes a specialized polymeric micelle delivery system designed to enhance the penetration of docetaxel into tumor tissues via the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. By encapsulating docetaxel within micelles, the formulation aims to improve the drug's safety profile and therapeutic efficacy compared to conventional docetaxel. It is currently being investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of various solid tumors, including head and neck cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
