Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YS001 is an orally bioavailable small molecule dual inhibitor of Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) and the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR). Developed by JiangSu WuZhong Pharmaceutical Development in collaboration with Zerun New Drug R&D and a technology team from the Zhejiang University School of Pharmacy, it is designed to treat advanced malignant solid tumors by inhibiting the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, which is frequently dysregulated in various cancers. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, having completed dose-escalation studies to evaluate its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in patients with advanced solid tumors.
