YT-001

YT-001 is a preclinical PKC epsilon-targeting therapeutic being developed by Young Therapeutics for ischemia reperfusion injury, with a lead focus on acute kidney injury and potential use in organ transplantation settings such as prevention of delayed graft function after kidney transplant. The program is described as an inhibitor of protein kinase C epsilon that is intended to reduce reperfusion-associated oxygen free radical injury and preserve organ function after ischemic insult. In preclinical kidney ischemia reperfusion models, YT-001 has been reported to restore creatinine clearance toward near-normal levels, supporting a nephroprotective mechanism.
