Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YT-1006 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody specifically engineered to target **Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2)**, a member of the claudin family of tight junction proteins. CLDN18.2 is a highly selective lineage-specific marker, with expression restricted to differentiated epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa in healthy tissues, but frequently ectopic and high in various primary and metastatic cancers, including gastric, esophageal, and pancreatic malignancies. Developed by **Shanghai Yitai Pharmaceutical**, YT-1006 binds to the extracellular domain of CLDN18.2 on the surface of tumor cells. This binding triggers potent anti-tumor activity through **antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC)** and **complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC)**, leading to the targeted destruction of malignant cells. Currently, YT-1006 is undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to determine its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced solid tumors expressing CLDN18.2.
