Overview

YT-E001 is an autologous T-cell receptor-engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy developed by Fujian Cancer Hospital for the treatment of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). The therapy involves the lentiviral transduction of a patient's own T cells with high-affinity TCRs specifically screened to recognize EBV antigens commonly expressed in NPC cells, including Latent Membrane Protein 1 (LMP1), Latent Membrane Protein 2 (LMP2), and Epstein-Barr Nuclear Antigen 1 (EBNA1). By targeting these viral proteins, YT-E001 aims to selectively identify and eliminate EBV-infected malignant cells. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials for patients with relapsed or progressive NPC who have failed prior therapies, typically following a lymphodepletion regimen of cyclophosphamide and fludarabine.
