Overview

YTH25.4 and YTH54.12 are a combination of two rat-derived monoclonal antibodies that target the CD45 antigen (also known as receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase C or leukocyte common antigen), which is expressed on all cells of the hematopoietic lineage. Developed by Baylor College of Medicine, these antibodies are used as a lymphodepleting conditioning agent prior to the adoptive transfer of LMP2a-specific cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTLs). The primary therapeutic goal is to induce transient lymphodepletion, thereby creating a favorable environment (reducing competition for cytokines and space) for the expansion and persistence of the transferred EBV-specific CTLs in patients with relapsed Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This approach was evaluated in the Phase 1 ACDAL clinical trial.
