Overview

YTS-109 is an investigational cell therapy consisting of T cells engineered to express a synthetic chimeric T cell receptor and antigen receptor, known as STAR (Synthetic T cell Antigen Receptor). It is being developed for the treatment of multiple autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, primary Sjogren's syndrome, systemic sclerosis, dermatomyositis, polymyositis, immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy, anti-synthetase syndrome, ANCA-associated vasculitis (including microscopic polyvasculitis and granulomatous polyvasculitis), eosinophilic granulomatous polyvasculitis, catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome, and relapsed/refractory autoimmune hemolytic anemia. The therapy is administered parenterally via injection. The drug represents a novel approach in cellular immunotherapy by utilizing engineered T lymphocytes to target pathogenic immune processes in refractory or severe autoimmune conditions[1][3][5].
