Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yttrium-90 (90Y) is a medical radionuclide produced by Yunke Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of China Isotope & Radiation Corporation) for use in therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. As a high-energy beta-emitter with a physical half-life of approximately 64.1 hours, Yttrium-90 is utilized in targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) to deliver localized ionizing radiation to malignant tissues. It is commonly conjugated to carriers such as glass or resin microspheres for selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) of liver cancer, or to monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Yunke Pharmaceutical lists Yttrium-90 as one of its core medical isotopes, supporting its industrial layout in the production and supply of radionuclides for oncology and other therapeutic applications.
