The drug is designed for radioimmunotherapy, delivering targeted radiation to CEA-expressing tumor cells in patients with metastatic or advanced malignancies that produce CEA, such as colorectal cancer and other solid tumors[1][2][4]. The mechanism of action involves specific binding of the antibody to CEA on tumor cells, allowing localized delivery of cytotoxic radiation from Y‑90, thereby minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue[2][3]. Clinical studies have demonstrated dose-limiting hematologic toxicity and immunogenicity (human anti-chimeric antibody response) as primary safety concerns[1][5].
