**Yttrium-90-labelled HMFG1** is a radiopharmaceutical consisting of a murine monoclonal antibody (HMFG1) chemically linked to the beta-emitting radionuclide yttrium-90. HMFG1 targets the tumor-associated antigen MUC1, commonly found on epithelial ovarian cancer cells. The drug is administered intraperitoneally and designed for targeted radioimmunotherapy, delivering cytotoxic radiation directly to cancer cells, minimizing exposure to normal tissues. Developed primarily for adjuvant treatment in epithelial ovarian cancer patients who have achieved complete clinical remission after cytoreductive surgery and chemotherapy, clinical studies found it well-tolerated with reversible myelosuppression as the main toxicity.
