Overview

**Yttrium Y 90 monoclonal antibody Hu3S193** is an investigational Lewis Y-targeted radioimmunotherapeutic consisting of the humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody hu3S193 chelated to the beta-emitting radionuclide yttrium-90. It binds the tumor-associated Lewis Y carbohydrate antigen on epithelial malignancies and selectively deposits cytotoxic beta radiation in antigen-expressing tumors and adjacent cells, causing radiation-mediated cellular injury. The agent was developed by Ludwig Cancer Research and evaluated in a completed phase 1 intraperitoneal dose-escalation study in advanced ovarian epithelial cancer; it also showed antitumor activity in Lewis Y-positive breast-cancer xenograft studies.
