Overview

Yucan granules (愈蚕颗粒) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) botanical drug candidate developed by Wuhan Humanwell Innovative Drug R&D and Shanghai Resurrection Stone Pharmaceutical Technology. It is currently in Phase II clinical development for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) characterized by macroalbuminuria. The formulation is intended as an adjunct to standard-of-care therapies, including ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and glucose-lowering agents. As a TCM product, it likely functions through a multi-component, multi-target approach to alleviate renal inflammation, oxidative stress, and fibrosis, thereby reducing protein leakage and slowing the progression of kidney damage.
