Yudanrongxin

Yudanrongxin is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Department of Pediatrics at Peking University First Hospital for the treatment of postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS) in children and adolescents. The preparation consists of four primary herbal components: *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi), *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen), *Cuscuta chinensis* (Tusizi), and *Schisandra chinensis* (Wuweizi). It is designed to stabilize the autonomic nervous system and improve cardiovascular regulation, addressing the excessive heart rate increase and associated symptoms, such as dizziness and palpitations, experienced by patients upon standing. Clinical research led by Professor Du Junbao's team has demonstrated its efficacy in improving the orthostatic tolerance of pediatric patients, likely through the modulation of vascular tone and autonomic balance. It is typically administered as an oral granule or capsule and is often used as an in-hospital preparation in China.
