Overview
Yuhudie Melasma Ointment is a topical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Hangzhou Qianjin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment of melasma. The product is specifically indicated for patients whose melasma is attributed to blood stasis and deficiency according to TCM diagnostic principles. Its primary active components are derived from botanical extracts, likely including the seeds of *Oroxylum indicum* (known as Yuhudie in TCM). A Phase III clinical trial (CTR20234118) was initiated in China but was actively terminated by the sponsor to conduct a Phase IIb study and refine Phase II data, placing the current development status in Phase II.
