Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yulinzhu is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula originally documented in *The Complete Compendium of Zhang Jingyue* (*Jingyue Quanshu*). It is primarily used to treat infertility and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) by nourishing kidney essence, qi, and blood. The formula consists of twelve herbal and animal-derived ingredients, including Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Poria, Paeoniae Radix Alba, Chuanxiong Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Rehmanniae Radix, Cuscutae Semen, Eucommiae Cortex, Cervus nippon Temminck (deer antler), and Zanthoxyli Pericarpium. Clinical research, particularly by The University of Hong Kong, has evaluated its efficacy in improving ovarian function markers such as Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) and Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) levels, as well as Antral Follicle Count (AFC) in women with reduced fertility.
