Overview
Yunnan Baiyao Plaster is a topical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation used for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions. The proprietary formula, developed by the Yunnan Baiyao Group, is traditionally used to promote blood circulation, disperse blood stasis, and alleviate pain. In clinical settings, it is being evaluated as an adjunctive therapy for joint pain in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis who are on stable conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (csDMARD) therapy. The plaster delivers its active herbal constituents transdermally to the affected joints to provide localized analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
