Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yunpi Qufeng Chushi is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed for the prophylactic treatment of pre-rheumatoid arthritis (pre-RA). It is designed to intervene during the early stages of rheumatoid arthritis to prevent disease progression. The formula is being evaluated in multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials for its efficacy and safety in preventing RA progression. While the exact composition and mechanism are not fully detailed in Western literature, network pharmacology analyses suggest that it acts through immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory pathways relevant to RA pathogenesis[1][2][3]. The intervention reflects TCM principles such as "invigorating the spleen" (Yunpi), "dispelling wind" (Qufeng), and "eliminating dampness" (Chushi).
