Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yunpiqiangshen Gel is a topical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation composed of eleven herbs. It is used as an adjunct therapy to standard care in patients undergoing dialysis, with the primary aim of improving quality of life (QOL). Clinical studies have shown that its use leads to significant improvements in QOL measures, including physical and mental health scores, as well as alleviation of symptoms such as fatigue, soreness of the waist, anorexia, abdominal distension, loose stool, and constipation. The gel has demonstrated a favorable safety profile; while mild gastrointestinal side effects like diarrhea and loose stool were more common compared to controls, they were generally not severe[1].
