Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yunu Jian is a classical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula first recorded in the medical text 'Jingyue Quanshu' (Jingyue's Complete Works). It is a multi-herb decoction traditionally used to purge stomach-heat (wei huo) and enrich kidney-yin (shen yin). The formula consists of five primary ingredients: gypsum (Shi Gao), Radix rehmanniae (Di Huang), Ophiopogonis Radix (Mai Dong), Rhizoma anemarrhenae (Zhi Mu), and Radix achyranthis bidentatae (Niu Xi). Clinically, it is investigated for the treatment of periodontitis, diabetes mellitus, and diabetic cardiomyopathy, demonstrating anti-inflammatory and metabolic regulatory properties. While it is widely used in TCM practice and academic research, there is no single pharmaceutical company developing it as a proprietary drug.
