Overview
Yupingfeng oral solution (玉屏风口服液) is an approved traditional Chinese herbal oral liquid formulation developed and manufactured by Zhejiang Jinliyuan Pharmaceutical. Based on the classic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula Yupingfeng San (Yu Ping Feng San), it is composed of three herbal ingredients: Astragali Radix (Huangqi), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma (Baizhu), and Saposhnikoviae Radix (Fangfeng), typically in a 3:1:1 weight ratio. Listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the formulation is primarily used for its immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. It is indicated for the treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infections, allergic rhinitis, chronic bronchitis, and related immune-deficiency states. Consistent with its multi-component TCM nature, it lacks a single discrete biological target, instead exerting therapeutic effects through a network of bioactive constituents including flavonoids, saponins, and polysaccharides.
