Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Yushuda Tablets** is an orally administered, investigational Chinese herbal medicine formulation for mild-to-moderate major depressive disorder, specifically patients characterized in traditional Chinese medicine as having dampness/turbidity obstructing the spleen with qi stagnation. The formula is reported to include cablin patchouli, tangerine peel, katsumadai seed, and atractylodes rhizome. It is intended to relieve depressive symptoms through the traditional therapeutic principles of awakening the spleen, resolving dampness, regulating qi, and relieving depression; a discrete molecular target-based mechanism has not been publicly established. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter Phase III study was completed, and its Chinese marketing application was accepted in June 2025.
