Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yuxuebi (YXB) is a Chinese patent medicine formulated as an oral tablet and used primarily in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of "Bi" syndrome, which includes conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, scleroderma, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is known for its effects in activating blood circulation, dissipating blood stasis, relieving pain, and reducing inflammation. Pharmacological studies have shown that YXB exerts anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting key inflammatory mediators such as TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, COX-2 (PTGS2), and signaling pathways including NF-κB (RELA), MAPK1/8/14 (ERK1/2/JNK/p38). Additionally, YXB has demonstrated analgesic properties similar to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and corticosteroids and may also modulate ion channel activity relevant to neuropathic pain. The product contains multiple active compounds with synergistic effects on these targets[1][2][5][6].
