Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yuye Jinhua Qingre Tablets (YYJH) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Anhui Jiuhua Huayuan Pharmaceutical. It is composed of six primary herbal and animal-derived components: *Mussaenda pubescens* (Yuye Jinhua), *Andrographis paniculata* (Chuanxinlian), *Gardenia jasminoides* (Zhizi), *Achyranthes aspera* (Daokoucao), *Scrophularia ningpoensis* (Xuanshen), and artificial bezoar (Rengong Niuhuang). The drug is indicated for the treatment of acute pharyngitis, where it exerts anti-inflammatory and mucosal repair effects. Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of the complement cascade and the blockade of the C5a/C5aR1 signaling axis. Additionally, it regulates immune cell polarization, reduces the release of inflammatory mediators, and modulates macrophage phenotype transformation to clear heat, detoxify, and alleviate pain.
