YY-162 is a chemical compound developed by Yuyu Pharma with potential therapeutic applications in nervous system diseases and other conditions. It has been studied primarily for its neuroprotective effects, particularly in the context of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). YY-162 consists of terpenoid-strengthened Ginkgo biloba and ginsenoside Rg3, combining antioxidant properties with modulation of dopaminergic neurotransmission and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) signaling. Preclinical studies indicate that YY-162 can attenuate oxidative stress, restore BDNF/TrkB signaling, and positively modulate dopamine transporter (DAT) and norepinephrine transporter (NET) expression. Its mechanism involves interactive signaling between antioxidant activity and BDNF/TrkB receptor pathways for neuroprotection[4][3]. Clinical trials have also explored its use as a combination of Ginkgo extract and Ginseng extract in children with ADHD[8]. Additionally, there are references to its investigation for solid tumors such as breast, lung, and colorectal cancers[2].
