Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YY524051 is an oral small molecule inhibitor designed to target a novel downstream effector of the transcription factor JUN (c-Jun) pathway. Developed by Beijing Baiyang Zhixin Medical Research in collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Diseases at Fuwai Hospital, YY524051 is being investigated for the treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). The therapeutic concept is based on findings that overexpression of JUN in cardiomyocytes induces diastolic dysfunction and related phenotypes characteristic of HFpEF, and that intervening in this pathway significantly improves cardiac diastolic function. YY524051 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers.
