YZ-0295 is a small molecule inhibitor of the NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells) signaling pathway, currently in preclinical development by Guangdong Yinzhu Pharmaceutical Technology. It is being investigated for the treatment of breast cancer, specifically to be used in combination with the CDK4/6 inhibitor palbociclib. NF-κB is a protein complex that controls transcription of DNA, cytokine production, and cell survival. In cancer, NF-κB is often constitutively active, contributing to tumor cell proliferation, apoptosis resistance, and inflammation-driven progression. By targeting this pathway, YZ-0295 aims to enhance the efficacy of existing treatments and potentially overcome resistance in breast cancer patients.
