Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YZJ-4729 is a novel G protein-biased μ-opioid receptor agonist developed for the treatment of acute pain in adult patients requiring intravenous opioid analgesic therapy. It is designed to provide effective analgesia with potentially fewer side effects compared to traditional opioids by selectively activating G protein signaling pathways over β-arrestin pathways at the μ-opioid receptor. The drug has demonstrated safety and tolerability in healthy subjects and is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for postoperative pain, particularly following abdominal surgery. Its pharmacological mechanism and activity are similar to oliceridine, another biased μ-opioid receptor agonist[1][2][3][4][5][6].
